UX design
This thesis project explores how interaction design can support women’s financial empowerment. Using the Double Diamond methodology, the project investigates how a digital app can meet women’s private financial needs and promote long-term economic confidence. The research centers women’s voices, cultural context, and lived experiences in order to identify both systemic challenges and meaningful design opportunities.
By understanding women's goals and challenges in managing personal finances, this project aims to design accessible, supportive tools that help bridge the gap between women and financial agency—contributing not only to individual empowerment but also to more equitable and resilient households.

challenge.
Seven women aged 21–61 shared how they manage their personal finances. They saw finance as freedom—but lacked tools and confidence to budget or invest effectively. Most found investing overwhelming due to complex language and information overload.
Apps were often too frustrating, leading some to prefer simple tools like Excel. There was widespread distrust toward financial institutions and advisors. Despite challenges, the women felt proud of their financial independence and appreciated open conversations.
